Embraced by God, Serving Others, Welcoming All.
The First Presbyterian Church of St. Helena PC(USA) has made itself a haven for families, youth, seniors, and the organizations that cater to them.
Welcome! Ecumenical and community outreach is the cornerstone of our Presbyterian church as an organization.
Today the church rents the manse (what used to be the pastor’s residence) to The UpValley Family Centers. When a Napa County preschool that used to operate on church property closed down, the family center expanded into that space as well.
In addition to The Family Center, church facilities host exercise classes and meetings for many other community organizations. Before Rianda House opened in St. Helena in 2008, the church provided space for senior-oriented programs like Creative Living and Meals on Wheels.
During the Glass Fire of 2020, the county set up an UpValley Local Assistance Center at the First Presbyterian Church, with officials from the Federal Emergency Management Agency operating out of church facilities.
